my updated skincare routine




I’ve been posting my updated skincare routine blogs recently. By now, you should know that it is pretty much the same thing. Double cleansing, Clay mask/Exfoliating, Toning, Sheet mask, Essence, Serum, Moisturizer, Eye and lip cream, and Sunscreen. I guess the only things that are changing are the products. But nonetheless, everything's the same. (Except, of course, it depends on what my skin needs during those times)

So, this post would be more on a review of products side and why do I love them (since they are in my skincare routine).

o n e  makeup removerI just emptied out the bottle of L'occitane Pivione Sublime Perfecting makeup remover (I love that one) so I switch to my current solid balm that transforms into silky oil cleanser, Banila Co. Clean It Zero Classic. I got it from Pepe & Ko. I love it because of it's sorbet-soft, lightweight texture that effortlessly removes stubborn makeup without stripping down natural skin oils. It has papaya extract that works to naturally exfoliate skin. It also acerola extract that is rich in vitamin C which helps brighten your face.

After using an oil-based cleanser, I used this facial foam from Karadium. Beauty Korea Dubai gave it to me and I liked it! It is a gentle foam but is a hardcore remover of all the last traces of dirt, sebum, and makeup. My skin will always thank me for using this as a face cleanser. I use this with a manual facial cleansing brush which is also from Beauty Korea Dubai. 


  t h r e e  exfoliate

My friend gave me this to me. So far, I'm really enjoying it. By the way, this liquid gel exfoliator is so popular that one bottle is sold every 12 seconds in Japan! This is seriously the best, innovative and impressive exfoliator I have ever tried! It is better than those harsh physical exfoliators since it literally removes all the dead skin cells. And by dead skin, I mean DEAD SKIN. Though I am only using this twice a week, it really made a difference on my skin. It made my face clear, vibrant, soft and clean.

AFTER CLEANSING, I'LL USE TONER. CURRENTLY I'M USING WITCH HAZEL.

THEN I'M GOING TO USE SHEET MASKS ON. DEPENDS ON WHAT MY SKIN NEEDS AT THE MOMENT.

AFTER THAT, I'M GOING TO USE SERUM. I CURRENTLY HAVE TWO DIFFERENT TYPE OF SERUM. ONE IS FOR HYDRATION AND ANOTHER IS FOR BLEMISH CONTROL.

I USE TWO DIFFERENT MOISTURIZER. ONE IS FOR THE DAYTIME WHICH IS VERY LIGHTWEIGHT (NEUTROGENA REVIEW) AND THE OTHER ONE IS FOR NIGHT TIME WHICH IS PACKED WITH COLLAGEN (PINKYPIGGY COLLAGEN PACK).

THEN I'M GOING TO USE LIP AND EYE TREATMENT. 

IF I HAVE A PIMPLE, I WILL USE A SPOT TREATMENT PRODUCT.

FOR DAYTIME: I USE SUNSCREEN


In the daytime, when I'm going to put on makeup, I only have a very simple skincare step. Face wash, tone, blemish control serum, lightweight moisturizer, eye and lip cream then lastly, sunscreen. 
But when I am going to bed at night, that's the time I put on lots of good stuff on my skin. That is because skin naturally repairs at night.

    Amazing review. Beauty Korea Dubai have got some amazing products. Never happened to try the facial cleansing brush.

Understanding the importance of your skin barrier is essential for you to have a healthy skin. WHAT IS SKIN BARRIER? The skin barrier, also known as permeability barrier; moisture barrier; or lipid barrier, is the outermost layer of our skin's surface that consists of cells and lipids (fats).
